DON'T DIE IN THE WEST
At the start of 2020, my partner and I said goodbye to New York
and embarked on a 3 month long road trip across the United States.
In that time I witnessed the prelude to January 6th, the Texas blackout, a once-in-a-century snow storm, and my own car, thrown 100 feet off the highway... with me and my partner inside.
This series of images and paintings are a meditation on the
American landscape, both physical and political. And, what it's like to almost die in the west (twice.)
